The Texas Bluebird Society is hosting a symposium Aug. 2-3 at the Midlothian Conference Center in Midlothian, TX. The symposium promotes the conservation of bluebirds and teaches the public how to attract and provide quality habitat for bluebirds across Texas.
Presentations will cover topics that bluebirders, new and experienced, will find interesting and entertaining including Bluebird Basics, House Sparrow Control, Birding in Texas and Planting for Bluebird Success. Information on Cornell Lab of Ornithology NestWatch and a Nestbox Building Workshop will also be offered.
The symposium will kick off on Friday evening, Aug. 2 at 6 pm with a dinner and program about monarch waystations. Presentations will be held Saturday, Aug. 3 from 9 am to 3 pm. Doors will open at 8:30 am for registration and silent auction bidding.
